Another defeat by Tod
The third XI completed what I believe to be Ramsbottom's 15th meeting with Todmorden on Saturday. This one finished in defeat, batting first the Rammy batsmen were dismissed for 126. Captain Martin Cropper with 40 & youngster Jonathon Dack 31 the top scorers. Todmorden reached their target for the loss of 5 wickets, 2 each for Hassan Farooq & Martin Cropper.

So near yet so far
Given a big total to chase Ramsbottom's youngsters just couldn't push on that extra gear to get them over the line. Jordan Shannon 3-38 & Matty Lees 2-35 helped curtail Church to 225-9. Rammy got off to a solid start with Dale Gabriel 22, Matty Sutton 54, Jordan Shannon 36 & Alex Lenkowski 34. But the youngsters just couldn't keep the tempo going and finished 31 runs short on 194-9.

Performance of season so far
Ross Brown started the ball rolling with a good knock of 51, this was followed by Jordan Shannon with 64, Matty Lees 30 & Matty Sutton 36. A target for  East Lancs of 205. Matty Lees with 3-28 and 2 wickets each for Chris Hutchings, Dale Gabriel & Jonathon Lees secured the victory as East Lancs were dismissed for 125

Lees Family do there best
The thirds suffered a defeat on Saturday at Colne, batting first and in trouble at 42-4 the Lees brothers rescued the innings with a partnership of 111 for the 5th wkt. Matty 77 & Jonathon 33 not out gave Rammy a respectable score of 205-6. Unfortunately they where unable to defend this as Colne reached the required target for the loss of 6 wickets, Jonathon Lees with 3 and Matty 1 to complete an all round good day for the family despite defeat.

Ben Dacks Third XI travelled to Lowerhouse but returned home empty handed. Lowerhouse set Rammy's youngsters a testing target of 215-9, Hassan Farooq 3-35 and Jonathon Lees 2-30. The Rammy reply was encouraging with excellent knocks from Ross Brown 52, against his former club. Jordan Shannon 50 and youngster Tom Parton 33. The Rammy reply closed on 189-8.
